“Do not love the world (of sin that opposes God and His precepts), nor the things that are in the world. If anyone loves the world, the love of the Father is not in him. For all that is in the world – the lust and sensual craving of the flesh and the lust and longing of the eyes are the boastful pride of life (pretentious confidence in one’s resources or in the stability of earthly things) – these do not come from the Father, but are from the world.” - 1 John 2:15 -16 (AMP)

A WARNING for Christians!

“Do you not know that being the world’s friend (that is, loving the things of the world) is being God’s enemy? So, whoever chooses to be a friend of the world makes himself an enemy of God.” - James 4:4 (AMP)

Do not lust for worldly things.

…. but the worries and distractions of the world and deceitfulness (the superficial pleasures and delight) of riches choke the word, and it yields no fruit. - Matthew 13:22 (AMP)

We are never free from the invasion of Satan, planting seeds of wanting worldly things into our minds.

These spiritual attacks can include jewelry and money.

It may be about food or the lack of money; or friends or lack of friends or wanting our difficult circumstances to go away.

These attacks will come in like a flood, unless we allow the Spirit of God to raise up the banner against it.

…. “When the enemy comes in like a flood, The Spirit of the Lord will lift up a standard against him.” - Isaiah 59:19 (KJV)

I will say that carefully and mindfully, do not worry about your life!

Our minds trick us into thinking we must worry about how we live and what we will eat and drink.

Jesus says we must not worry!

Jesus Christ knows our circumstances better than us, and how to prevent us from making these things our primary concerns of our life.

Whenever there are many concerns in your life, be sure you always give your worries to God.

Put your relationship with God first in your life!

“So do not worry about tomorrow; for tomorrow will worry about itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own.” - Matthew 6:34 (AMP)

What troubles or worries may have begun to threaten your peace of mind today?

DO NOT let demons have authority over your mind and thoughts!

Jesus tells us not to worry about worldly things.

Carefully examine your mind and think thoughts that align with God.

Keep your mind on your heavenly Father and do not worry!

And if God cares so wonderfully for wildflowers that are here today and thrown into the fire tomorrow, he will certainly care for you. Why do you have so little faith? - Matthew 6:30 (NLT)

Prayer:

Dear Father – detach me, O Lord, from the things of this world, and usher me into the presence of you, the King of Kings. Keep the thoughts of my mind and my heart entirely Yours.

Meditate on these Bible Verses: Matthew 6:30-34, Matthew 13:22, John 2:15-16
